The architectural inspiration for the design of 44 Salt Cedar is the Anglo-Caribbean genre as typified by the work of Oliver Messel on Barbados and Mustique, brilliantly reinterpreted for the Kiawah setting by architect Losse Knight of LFK Architects LLC.
